"My work stems from the desire to pay homage to the dark side that lives in everyone of us, and that often gets shunned instead of being welcomed and celebrated.
The pervasive western culture in which we live doesn’t teach us to consider the unseen and death as an integral of life. On the contrary, it gives them a negative value labeling them as unhealthy and stigmatizing their manifestations. Using this logic being angry, depressed, frustrated, or fearsome is wrong. It puts the individual in a condition or error and inadequacy towards themselves and society, which will judge them incapable or unworthy of joy."
