READING 'A CYBORG MANIFESTO'
Cyanotype on canvas, 228x240 cm
Why should our bodies end at the skin?
Donna J. Haraway, A Cyborg Manifesto
The artwork was created with the technique of blue print. In a sort of private performance laying naked in the sun on a canvas that was previously cyanotyped I read “A Cyborg Manifesto” by Donna J. Haraway. The passing of time fixes my body on the sheet. What remains at the end of the performance is a trace of the contact of the body with the photosensitive surface. The image created leaves an empty memory of the physicality. The installation of the cyanotyped canvas shifts the body from horizontal to vertical.
