"On our way from Francfort to Cologne we sat in the car talking about the international art scene. As I am half German but half Italian as well, we could not evade talking about Italian art and its importance for all the following developments in art as well as its dominant influence. The vast variety of fantastic artists like Tintoretto, Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci and many more. But we asked ourselves: Where did it stop? Where did Italy lost its power being a leading country concerning art? Why is it getting lost on the international market of contemporary art and lastly - what can we do to change that?"
'A3' is the name of the highway between Francfort and Cologne. It is a symbol for connection between - not only - these two cities but in this case the Italian and the international art scene. This platform concentrates on Italian emerging artists but moreover wants to enable exchange, communication and chances across borders.
