Lorenzo Lunghi
Lorenzo Lunghi (Crema, 1993) lives and works between Crema and Geneva.
Through a sculptural practice, his work arises from the study of popular beliefs that come from the web, fake-news and related conspiracies.
By identifying a possible contemplative development, he reflects
on the creation of new myths and rituals; hypernarrations that
come from the net and influence reality.
In particular, his research is focused on the different ways in which fear for technological objects, with the power to enslaved us, develops in various ways, from neoludist violence to a state of paranoia and alienation.
As a result, his research is aimed to a kind of production that comes from below, an attitude in which creative activity develops by rethinking and modifying objects and production systems. The self-production and sabotage of devices is a process that brings the standardized use of objects to a new state of autonomy and anomaly; a strategy of resistance to spoiled objectification.
