"My work often combines elements which are industrially fabricated with handcrafted ones, using a variety of mediums and techniques, drawing from domestic spaces, and interior decorating and furnishing. My work explores the personal and the popular through the peripheral and the superfluous. I’m concerned with the practice of presenting and performing the self in everyday life, investigating its tools and principles, and exploring their potentiality for expression and communication. More precisely, I’m fascinated by how humans convey their identity in a visual form, how this relates to branding strategies in contemporary society under the impact of capitalism and social media, and how this is relevant to artistic practice. I believe my work has a strong ability to communicate—its transparency and expressiveness brings people close, and its presence evokes a person more than an object. The work is friendly, easy to talk to, and has deep toughts about the world it lives in. This quality is not coincidental but a conscious statement: I believe the purpose of my practice is to make the viewer experience a connection with their time, to create a moment in which they feel they understand, and are understood."
