'Leave Solid Ground'

The personal exhibition Leave Solid Ground (2019) at the Pastificio Cerere in San Lorenzo, Rome, displays installations of works on paper and two videos (Almost Water and Leave Solid Ground). Radere (2019) is an installation of seven photographs printed on Hahnemühle paper placed on the ground. During the exhibition opening, after having moistened the paper, some snails were placed on it. The photographic image that gets materiality through the paper is made even more fragile when this is eaten by snails. The living animal crawls on the still image, biting, swallowing and digesting it. Thus, through a decomposition, new life is given to the photos, which continue to change.
