Gianluca Brando
Gianluca Brando (Maratea, 1990) lives and works between Milan and Turin. After studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome and Venice, he cultivated his research in the field of sculpture first with a stay in Taiwan, from 2014 to 2017, and then, in the last two years, through the experiences of some artistic residency programs: Cripta747 studio program in Turin, Officine Saffi in residence and VIR Viafarini in residence in Milan. His work has recently been included in the Index project of the Sout Heritage Foundation in Matera. Through artistic research understood as a process of exploration of space, his work investigates new conditions of possibility of sculpture mainly through the practice of casting.
