Eughenio Grechi
Selected Work
Grechi Eughenio was born in Grosseto, Italy, in 1995. Bilingual in Russian and Italian. In 2016, he enters the Brera Academy in Milan, Italy, where he lives and works up to this day.
The formal language balances between Russian Orthodox iconography, with its archetypal monumentality and naturalism of Renaissance including Flemish influence, in this symbiosis, together with its introverted, transcendental orientation, a certain “thing” is formed, striving for the absolute aesthetic completeness, both on the sensual and intellectual levels, trying to combine them into a single thread, provoking a kind of singularity, synesthetic perception. Following this principle in Eughenio’s work. The subject always acts as a transcendental revelation, which is transmitted through the symbolic system, gaining some poetry and freedom of interpretation. Sculpture and attention to the combination of materials is a tool, blurring the boundary between the object, painting and sculpture, penetrating into each other and complimenting themselves.
